sent me to try their newest wash Ivory 2in1 Hair & Body Wash free
two weeks ago and to start I haven't used any other soap since. When I
seen it was 2in1 I knew i would not be using this stuff in my hair but I
knew someone who would - My Husband!! Whether he liked it or not he was
going to have to tell me how this product worked and whether or not he
liked it. I removed all other body washes, soaps and shampoos from the
bathroom and waited. All i heard was babes where is the shampoo? To
which i answered use the ivory body wash, its for your hair too. After
some mumbling he used it.. Not waiting, I went in and asked him how was
it. With his monotone response, it was ok. To you it may sound
lackluster but to me that was a hole in one. My husband is the type when
he don't like something he will complain until its changed but if he do
like it he will say it is Ok. To this day he hasn't used anything else. I have placed everything back on the shelf but still nothing else is being used. Thanks Ivory & Influenster!!
Now after getting over that bump let me get down to the review
and what I thought about it. First off the hair part is for men and i
know I wasn't going to try it in my hair but I did. Doesn't do anything
for my hair (I'm African American with relaxed and permed hair). As a
female we put way too many chemicals for this to work. As for men using
it on a daily works great.
I absolutely did love it as a body
wash and can't deny how amazing it felt. When i take showers i don't use
sponges but I use a rag to make sure I'm scrubbing away the day. The
body wash does not make a lot of lather and this I love because when
there is a lot of lather the soap tend to sit on top your skin rather
than take in moisture. My skin can be pretty dry especially during the winter and becomes very itchy. I wouldn't recommend this if you have extremely dry skin however it has helped me tremendous with my dry itchy skin. After your shower your skin feels smooth and and the air doesn't dry it out easily. It also washes off without any residue which is also great.
My son has even taken a liking to the product and its smell and always ask me to use it. It has been great for the entire family to use. Really love and enjoyed this product, will be purchasing from the Ivory brand more often to see what else will be great for me and mines.
